Meet The Team

Amy

Meet Amy, the Queen of organisation (and the Tuck Shop)!

Amy has been with Acting Out since day one back in 2014, and we honestly don’t know what we’d do without her! She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and makes sure the tuck shop is always stocked with everyone’s favourite treats!

But don’t be fooled,  Amy’s not just backstage! She never misses a chance to jump on stage and get stuck into the fun with the kids. Whether it’s a warm-up game or a full-on musical number, she’s right there in the spotlight!

When Amy’s not at group, you’ll probably find her in B&M or Home Bargains, hunting down the latest home décor and storage finds, even if her boyfriend Steve doesn’t quite get why they need another basket.  Or she’s at Villa Park, proudly cheering on Aston Villa with Steve by her side!

We love Amy for her energy, her organisation skills, and her ability to make everything more fun (and more fabulous)!

Vicki

Meet Vicki, our Drama Dynamo!

Vicki has been part of Acting Out for over 9 fabulous years, bringing her boundless energy, creative flair, and a serious love of all things dramatic to every session! Whether she’s helping with costumes, creating colourful sets, or adding that extra bit of sparkle to a scene, Vicki’s passion for theatre shines brighter than a stage spotlight.

Vicki, ever enthusiastic, has a habit of diving headfirst into prop orders without checking the dimensions. While her energy is infectious, the group has learned to double-check the measurements, or risk acting out fairy tales with pint-sized castles and giant goblets.

When she’s not centre stage with the drama group, Vicki’s either cheering on Gloucester Rugby at Kingsholm  or off on an adventure in her motorhome with her husband Guy and their two four-legged co-stars, Ted and Buddy.

We love Vicki for her big heart, bigger ideas, and the BIGGEST laugh in the room. Acting Out wouldn’t be the same without her!

Raya

Meet Raya, a Damn Yankee who turn a wrong turn after Kansas...

Raya is an American who has lived in the UAE, Belgium, and the US (– it's a long story...). She studied chemistry at university in Boston then worked briefly in the pharmaceutical industry making cancer drugs. It wasn't long before she realised she was more interested in the patients that the lab, however, so she made a career change and moved to Newcastle-upon-Tyne mid-lockdown to attend medical school. To this day, the Northeast is still where she calls home.

She has always been involved in theatre, throughout high school and medical school. The most fun she had in a role by far was playing villain Lily St Regis in a community theatre production of Annie; but her favourite musical is the melodramatic Chess (written by the guys from ABBA!).

You might run into her at Gloucester Hospital where she now works as a resident doctor, but in her free time she can be found hiking in the Cotswolds, writing poetry, or snuggling with her rescue cat Tully.

Luis

Luis, a Volunteer Extraordinaire

It’s hard to remember a time in Acting Out! when Luis wasn’t part of the action. Joining the group back in 2016 at the tender age of 9, he quickly became a familiar face on stage, and behind the scenes. Over the years, it’s been a joy to watch him flourish, bringing energy, creativity, and a big heart to every performance.

Now studying T Level Education & Early Years, Luis has taken the next exciting step by joining the Acting Out!volunteer team, helping inspire the next generation of young performers just as he was inspired. Whether it’s guiding workshops or sharing his passion for drama, Luis proves that the spotlight isn’t just for the stage, it’s for making a difference too!

Rob

Rob is a dedicated student at Stage Door Learning Ltd, where he’s fully immersed in the world of performance. With a passion for all things stage-related, he thrives on everything from acting and directing to the energy of live theatre. Whether he’s performing or behind the scenes, Rob is always eager to explore the many layers of the stage.

When he's not on stage, Rob can often be found with his nose in a book. Reading is one of his greatest passions, offering him a chance to dive into different worlds and explore new ideas. Whether it's a classic play or an inspiring novel, Rob believes that reading fuels his creativity and broadens his perspective, helping him to grow both as an artist and a person.

Always curious and driven, Rob is constantly expanding his skills and knowledge, looking forward to the next opportunity to grow in the world of performance and the arts.

Edie

Edie, A Drama Enthusiast & Volunteer

Edie has been part of Acting Out! since 2017, joining at just 9 years old. Over the years, we’ve loved watching them grow, flourish, and bring their unique spark to every performance.

Now studying Criminology, Edie has chosen to give back by joining our volunteer team, sharing their passion, energy, and experience to help inspire the next generation of young performers.

We’re thrilled to have them as part of the Acting Out! family!

Summer

Hi, I’m Summer! I’m currently completing my Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years, and I work with reception-aged children.

I love creating a fun, supportive environment where little ones can learn, grow, and feel confident. I’m known for my bubbly personality and positive energy, and I enjoy bringing that enthusiasm into everything I do.

Outside of work, I’m an animal lover who’s happiest when spending time with furry and scaly friends.
